My Evita review

I just got back from seeing Evita in Boston. And, you know what, I must disagree with all of the reviews, I loved it. I'll break down the main points:

Kathy Voytko (Eva) - I can see why some people would think her voice is shrill and somewhat annoying, but I thought it was fine. I was very impressed with her, her acting was perfect! (and contrary to what I've read, she did do the Evita arms during 'Dont Cry...' lol)
Bradley Dean (Che) - Excellent. I found his Che to be very good. I've read reviews saying his acting wasn't the best, but I dont agree at all. The only complaint I have about him is he was little too much on the goofy side at some points, like when he was mocking the crowd. I must say, this guy can sing! Some of the notes he hit (especially during 'And the Money Kept Rolling Out') just blew me away. Very impressive.
Other - all good, but Migaldi really stood out IMO. His voice was perfect for the role, even though it is rather small. Great acting, too. The ensemble was amazing! Peron was good, but I felt he lacked emotion at times, but it wasnt all that bad. I thought his chemistry with Eva was good enough for the relationship they had. Could be better, but will improve as the tour goes on, no doubt. 'Another Suitcase' was done very well by the Mistress, but I still see no point in the song lol
Visual - Very good. The scenery was minimal and worked great, and the lighting was very good. I loved the choreography, too
Sound - Yes, Eva was hard to hear. However, when it counted (like the big important parts of songs) she was loud enough to hear, so it didnt matter all that much. I do hope this area improves, tho, itd make everything much better

Alright, I've bored you all long enough with my random thoughts on the show lol. I would highly recommend the show for everyone out there. I was very impressed!

Very cool! I can't wait until the tour rolls around to my area! I'm very interesting in seeing Kathy and Bradley perform.
