Hi. I was looking even more forward to seeing the show b/c of the mixed reviews of Kathy Voytko. I thought she was great. This is the first production of Evita that I've seen, and she was what I'd imagine Eva to be. She was very young and exitable in the beginning of the show, but she grew up and hard fast. Her voice was fantastic. We got an understudy for Che, his name was Bill Dietrich. He was a better actor than singer in my opinion. Good voice, but he sometimes wanted to have an, I'm guessing, Argentine or hispanic accent and that always didn't work out for him. Philip Hernandez was Peron and I found him a little boring. Not that Peron is the most exciting role to play, but I remember seeing him as Javert w/the 3rd NT of Les Miz a few years ago and one of the reasons I really liked him was b/c he was so animated and energetic. Overall, the show is pretty good. Glad I was able to catch it. Thanks for reading!!
