This is my first post, so I am sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked before. How do I get tickets for My Fair Lady for Spring 2018. I see that tickets are being sold by resellers. But, when I go to Vivian Beaumont Theater site at LCT there is no info on tickets presently for sale. There is info about being a member and buying tickets, but no memberships can be purchased at this time.
Will there be a sale to the public or must I purchase tickets from a reseller? If they will be offered, how do I find out when that will happen? I did sign up for MFL ticket info on Telecharge's MFL page (there are none for sale there). Thank you.

I am a Lincoln Center Theater member, and haven't read an announcement of MFL tickets being on sale yet. Members get a chance to buy tickets first, so they will get an email and maybe a letter with the date. The public usually will get a chance to buy tickets after the members do.
Not sure how resellers would be able to even sell tickets, unless they are just saying they can get them eventually, but don't have actual seats or tickets in hand.

Wouldn't they need to at least announce the leads before selling tickets?

Ticket brokers do this all the time .... offering tickets weeks or months before they have any tickets to sell you. They are trying to capture the crowd that desperately wants tickets as early as possible, who do not know the details of when tickets are on sale directly from the venue. The brokers often will offer something like "Orchestra Rows O-X" so that way if you buy the tickets too early before they have them, they can end up giving you something in that large block once they do get the tickets at some point later down the road. And if you buy them and they don't yet have the tickets, they will just put a note on your order saying something like "tickets will be available for delivery by November 1, 2018" to give themselves enough time to acquire tickets for you.
As stated by someone else already, subscribers will get access first. At some later date, tickets will go on sale to the public. There will be tickets available for you to buy in the public sale on your own, and much better seats than whatever a broker is promising now, so do not buy anything from a broker. This same scenario played out with their last big musical revival, the King and I. Granted, demand for MFL may be a little stronger, especially if they end up casting someone like Firth as Higgins, but you will still be able to get good seats on your own. I am guessing in about October.

Stubhub, usually considered the most dependable reseller, under "Vivian Beaumont Theater" lists "no events."
Under My Fair Lady they list five regional productions, and give an ad push to My Fair Lady Washington, but then say they don't have any tickets.
As to New York, StubHub looks square.

Thank you all for explaining this. I had no idea resellers would sell tickets they don't have. My son kept telling me it was a scam. Not completely right, but close. So, I will try to relax and keep checking Telecharge and other places for the official announcement.

Tickets?! There's no show. Just an idea for "Wouldn't it be loverly if we did MFL in the spring?" Until they have a star signed there's nothing to sell.

There most definitely is a show, and casting began months ago. It's simply a matter of time before it's made public.

LCT members get the first crack. I'm sure it will be a very hot ticket; especially if Colin Firth decides to take on Higgins.
