#0My Fair Lady at Bucks County Playhouse (Review)

Well, I saw My Fair Lady last night at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope and it was amazing. For more than one reason, I loved it, obv., and my dad did too <-- he hates theatre. Now maybe he'll take me to the City! haha. Well, here's the review.

Review *stolen from my xanga*
Peter Scolari (Henry Higgins): I really, really liked his acting. Twas very good. His singing voice was okay, not amazing, but still good.He did get very angry at times, in character, of course, but it sometimes made it hard to get what he was saying. I liked him a lot though.

Tressa McCallister (Eliza Doolittle) Oh wow. Amazing. Simply amazing. Her singing voice is superb. As son as I heard her sing two songs I was like...I've heard her before. Then I got it, she was Agnes Gooch in Mame! She's even better in this, and I love love love her voice.

P. Brendan Mulvey (Colonel Pickering): I also loved him. Very funny as well. Didn't hear him sing that much, but I liked what I heard.

Penny Larsen (Mrs. Pearce): She was very funny, I liked her a lot. Her acting was superb, I always laughed when she came on.

Erik H. Reid (Director/Alfred P. Doolittle) Wow, so funny. He did the introduction before the play and the entire theatre was cracking up. He was amazing as Eliza's father, I loved his singing and acting skills.

Patrick Ludt (Freddy Eynsford Hill): Another familiar face! He was also in Mame as the older Patrick. He was good in MFL, I would have liked to hear more of him though =).

Jessica Bradish (Musical Director/Mrs. Higgins/Ensamble): I loved her Mrs. Higgins. She made me laugh very hard, and her voice is very good as well.

Nicole Farina (Mrs. Eynsford-Hill/Ensamble): Didn't see too much of her, but I liked the parts I did see.

Peter Cortelli, Matthew Cline, Peter Martino (Chimney Sweeps/Ensamble): All very very funny and they all had very nice voices. I liked when they came on, very funny.

Jill Palena, Nicole D'Angelo (Flower Girls/Ensamble): Amazing facial expressions and making the most of an ensamble part. I know how hard they must have worked, as I was in the Ensamble for my last musical. Tis hard to be 'noticed' and they did very well.

Damian Bartolacci (Harry): Yet another familiar face *well, bio* from Mame. The songs he was in were very good, his parts in With A Little Bit of Luck and Get Me to the Church on Time were great.

Ashley Davidson, Bobby McGuckin (Buskers): Wow, these guys are so flexible! There stunts were very amusing, as were there singing parts.

Edward Egan, Paul Kowalewski, Brittney Morton, Bobby McGuckin (Ensamble): Very nice, all had amazing voices.

All in all, I really loved it. It was very well put together, Mr.Reid was an excellant director and everyone played there parts with...a passion. You could tell they were having fun. I encourage everyone to go see it! I belive there are 2 or 3 more shows left. The Bucks County Playhouse rocks, as do their shows. The show gets an A, only because at some points it dragged on and on and on, haha. But yes, twas amazing. *claps*.

A most ingenious paradox.
