Confidence above all.
Pick a song you LOVE. Really love. It will show. With "Whorehouse", I'd pick something sort of Country. Have a second song prepared that is totally different from the first.
Be familiar with the score, too, and be prepared if they ask you to sing something from the show.
Not sure if this is Community or college or dinner theatre or what, but I think these tips would cover just about anything.
But really, you can do anything if you have the confidence to pull it off. Walk in like you own that theatre!
Break a leg!
Thank you JoeKv! That really helps :o)

DO NOT sing "Girl you're a Woman" ; that is a song for a middle aged woman giving advice to a young girl. Nothing turns a casting director off more than someone young singing lyrics that reveal the wisdom that comes w/ age.
Look at Pump Boys and Big River, both "faux" country shows from the same era. Mary Jane's ballad from BR is appropriate, and several of the up-tempos from PB&D. Both vocal selections books are easy to come by.
The only thing you should need to know from the show is a verse of "Hard Candy Christmas".
Due to your youth, the only role they would put you into is "Shy". Work on a white-trash TX accent and be prepared to cold read.
Also bring dance clothes. Even if you don't consider yourself a dancer, they will need to see your physique, as the chorus is scantily clad throughout the show.
On age alone I am guessing the director is thinking of you playing the new whore, who was raped by her father.
it's a fun show, so pick an upbeat song with a slight country twang.
Are you sure you don't need a monologue.
