fun Heather, fun! happy Chicago!
Definitely went and tried to listen to it yeterday, and I still just don't get it. It's so much for me to take in. I feel overwhelmed by it. Except for the first song. That's gorgeous. If anything, the music is really pretty. I have no idea what's going on in the plot, but the music is pretty. I'll bet if I saw it live I would love it, though. I love Floyd Collins, Caroline or Change and A Light in the Piazza, which seem quite similar in a way.

Ooooooh dais..... That's UNFAIR!
All is fair in a ferret world!
Sorry, you were asking for it.
I did not really care for it...my friend who I went with (who only goes to the theatre when I drag him) loved it.

Ah, it's all good.... I'd forgotten about the Ferret song... and that just makes me go 'WTF?', it doesn't get stuck in my head for days on end like Balbec by the Sea.

Ferret world can get stuck in my head to this very day.
That and... "ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLBERTIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE!"
I have owned this CD for awhile, and this thread inspired me to finally listen to it, so thank you, mef. Although I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, it sounds gorgeous. I love Ricky Ian Gordon, but he takes awhile to get used to... Bright Eyed Joy is beautiful, but I had to listen to it a few times first... I'm excited to listen to Albertine a few times though.
