I've been keeping an eye out for this show as well, and the last I read, Claudia Shearer is now penning the book, and for those Grey Garden Producer hating people...they'll just love to hear that East of Doheny/the Gonda's are producing this show as of now.
I am hoping for a great adaptation of the movie, because the original book is not that great and the Bullocks end up working in a restaurant owned by Godfrey at the end. Mr Bullock is on an island, hiding out from creditors, as well. The book made me love the movie adaptation all the more!
