The transformations didn't bother me nearly as much as the bizarre, "Let's bring our two worlds together for one night!" ending. Triton's line in that scene is beyond cheesy.

agreed. I was like...wait what?
Also his line in If Only (Triton Reprise) "It's as if in the blink of an eye, when my back was turned-you grew up" all I can think is corney much?? Get rid of either the blink of an eye or the back was turned-don't use both.

Thanks dinglehopper! I really liked Cody in the role... and you could tell he was really upset about it. The cast was comforting him the entire curtain call.

I have to admit when I saw the show and heard "two whole days", I thought he said twelve and I had this big "HUH" reaction.

i had to wait for the show to sell out, which didn't happen until 2:30 (show at 3)...the ticket was $26.50 and there were still a few more spots to stand when i went in.:)

Brian- Nice review. We saw the show too last Saturday . I was with Jordangirl...

Zepka- I thought I saw you... but I was not sure, if that's you ... so I did not say "hi"...I saw you at the stage door too. I was with jordangirl & WaT.

I will post my 10/10 Report on THE LITTLE MERMAID.. later complete with the whole nine yards-- Lunt-Fontanne's pics, merchandise pics, stage door pics..

Basically I enjoy the show -it was not a TORTURE but there was some obvious problems with the show...which I will enumerate... well.. whether I LIKE IT or NOT.. stay tuned....

I want to add that I saw Young Frankenstein the next day. While Mermaid has its flaws, I much prefered it to YF. Jokes weren't as funny and I didn't find myself enjoying the music. The sets and costumes were great. Too bad the cast didn't have more to work with.

I agree.. with you Panos...

Mike is very handsome in person... You wont miss him in a crowd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater..He is VERY NOTICEABLE! ...I saw him last Saturday....He is tall, blonde and handsome.. I feel like a Princess ala... Sarah Jessica Parker in 1997 Revival of "Once Upon a Mattress"
