Listening to it now and loving it! Lots of dialogue included - CD1 runs to 68 minutes and CD2 to 55 minutes, so practically the whole show is on there. The stripped down orchestration is more noticeable than it I remember it being the theatre - mostly it works, occasionally it sounds lackluster compared to the OBC. But the cast and production (thank you First Night!) are wonderful. I can't see anything else getting into my CD player in the next few weeks....

I posted something about this in an independent thread - but does anyone know whether or not, or when they'll be releasing this in the states? I'm a hardcore Parade fan (I think this is obvious) and I'm anxious to get the new recording.

Multi zone DVD players cant be that expensive in the US surely!!! They have been available in the UK for many years and now when you buy a player its the norm to have all regions.
The prices in Dress Circle and Footlights are very similar but you will pay a hefty shipping charge from Dress Circle in the UK to the US. Footlights shipments are very fast.

Any idea as to when it'll be available on iTunes?
I expect to see it there Tuesday. But, then again, I have a feeling that's wishful thinking.

I picked up my coper from Dress Circle today.I'm so glad that they included so much dialogue from the show. If you missed the run at The Donmar, or if you aw it then this this CD is a must.
The DVD is a 20 minute interview session with Alfred Uhry, Jason Robert Brown, Donmar's Artistic Director Michael Grandage and Director and Choreograher Ron Ashford. The most interesting part though is from Designer Chrisopher Oram who takes you round some of his favourite parts of the set including the stunning mural. At £12.99 this is probably the best value cast recording i've ever bought.

I was in Dress Circle a few hours ago and as i stood chatting to MIchael he sold 15 copies in about 45mins. Its only at £12.99 until end of this month then its £ 22. The shop always has special deals with record releases that allow them to sell at reduced price for the first few weeks.

Still a bargain at £22 if you ask me! One of the most handsome cast recording packages I've seen.
