I finally got around to seeing Xanadu Friday night and I LOVED it. I was laughing the entire time. Bean did a wonderful job of adapting what I am sure was a SH*T movie into an amazing Broadway musical. I loved Jackie Hoffman As well as Mary Testa. They just played amazingly well opposite one another. And Tony Roberts was just amazing as well.
Now for me to rave about Kerry. I honestly can't say anything bad about this woman or her performance. It was clear that she was having loads of fun on that stage. Her and Cheyenne played well opposite on another. Great voice and great sense of comic timing.
I loved Cheyenne's performance as Sonny. He was so goofy and so oblivious to what was going on at times it was just amazing.
At the stage door everyone came out. Kerry was so nice and signed my playbill as well as a copy of her CD that I bought at the theatre. I was disappointed for a bit. I really wanted to get a copy of her CD for a while and when I went to the merch stand before the show they said that they didn't have them. But, they did have them at the end and I am glad that I got it.
I did notice that she did leave with a security guard walking her to the subway. This must be because of the incident she had with the stalker a while back.
