I read the Melanie thing. I have no idea where the Bebe or Antonio rumor got started.

Because they're not rumors? Antonio and Melanie have been signed already for LA. Bebe has not been signed -- she is in talks for Velma. Personally if I think she's smart she'll turn it down. I may not be a huge fan of Bebe's (or Bebe as Velma for that matter) but she's worth so much more than starring opposite Melanie with the dumbed down choreography!

Can you please tell us where you are getting this information? Melanie is a sure thing in LA. The touring cast was informed this week about Melanie and a longer engagement at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles . But Antonio is scheduled to be working on a film during this time. And your news could affect the livelihood of those of us already in in pre-production. So....how did you come upon this bit of info? Updated On: 9/17/03 at 02:35 PM

And DP, Teacheroftheater, always talks about how wonderful Melanie is when he never saw her perform in Chicago. Antonio is wonderful but he is Latin with an accent. The role of Billie Flynn is not for him.

How can you be so UNcreative? All they have to do is change the character's name to: Guillermo Flimflamos
