I loved it. I thought it very touching and very smart. I thought it well written, and both very funny and sad.

Actually, I thought the acting was pretty awful too. I found very little redeeming in the play or the production.

I know "The Kid" is based on fact, which makes it even odder than the on-stage relationship works less successfully than the one in "Next Fall."

I loved it and have seen it more than once... but since you already have tickets, just go and make up your own mind.
