Following on the heels of the dinner theatre orchestra from last year's "Sunday in the Park..", I was dismayed to sit through another butchering of a glorious score. Why does Mr. Sondheim allow these mini- orchestrations to see the light of day? Save your money on this , and go see (and hear) the glorious "Finian's" or "Ragtime."
Oh...the show is fine, but the pacing of the scenes is deadly.

It's sad that we never get to hear the full orchestration for this show anymore. Glad I originally heard this score years ago with a full pit.
On another thought, I wonder, with the success of CHICAGO as a revival if we will ever see a full production of that show - with sets, costumes and the restored script.

What do you expect for $ 130 plus for a ticket? Full orchestras?
