cool article.
i actually never noticed what the stage was painted.
You're such a media whore, Liotte. Next thing we know, you're going to be plastered all over the tabloids! :P
Haha, foster. Random that they were there the same night as me, as I haven't seen the show much (well, in comparison to some others!). They made us sign a waiver as we put our stuff in the lockers, just giving them permission because it might be in the Times. And alas, here it is.

Tears dripped unchecked down my face. I wondered if anyone could see it.
Hah, SO melodramatic. Kind of like the show!

Nice article, thanks for pointing it out. I was in AA5 or something last weekend and I found the experience to be something that most people should try out. Very intimate and yet open.
Oh sads! That was when I was there and I'm not in the photo at all.
I did love my seat HARDcore though, so no complaints here! I'll just have to be in the NY Times some other time. XD
I totally agree with the halo of Groff-spit part. Utterly hypnotic at times. O_O

Company- I'll be sitting around AA 5 saturday. How much of the action did you miss? Were they some of the better seats? Did any cast members sit near you?

Why so critical that theater inspired an honest emotion? Sorry you didn't connect to this show, Siamese.

JG, quite an amazing seat. 2 seats down was Lilli Cooper on 2 occasions and also Lea Michele 2 seats down. Behind you is an audience singer ensemble girl. Sylar Austin or w/e his name is almost stumbled on to me when jumping back off a chair, like I actually jumped a little. No real obstructions, it is an absolutely amazing spot, but you don't sit next to anybody

Because the entire piece was written in a very melodramatic fashion? I'd argue that I didn't connect to the show because there's nothing at its core with which to connect, but that's another story.
He does spit a LOT.
I really want to sit in an onstage seat sometime.

Ha ha, the spitting made the Times! I am glad the author pointed out that, even on stage, the audience members are still just spectators and no one is really looking at them. I liked the show so much more from onstage than from the audience, and it disappoints me a little when people say they don't want to sit on stage because most of the audience can see them. Having seen the show from the normal audience too, it's true, no one is looking at the stage seats. My friend was sitting in the stage seat closest to the orchestra, and he bumped into friends after the show who had not even noticed he was there and were surprised to hear he sat on stage.
can someone tell me how the visuals and the sound is when u sit on stage? i saw it in the mez already and it looks as though there isn't a bad seat in the house. as i was walking out of the theater, a lady was telling me how her friend saw it on stage and didnt like it because she couldnt hear and apparently the cast member sitting next to her made her feel uncomfortabe.(why would that make someone feels uncomfortabe i would die of happyness. i dont really care though because i would pay $31 just to be on that stage
