NYC in April?

I am planning my Spring NYC trip targeting sometime in April and wanted to check if there is a better weekend to go over others? Ideally I'd like to go mid-April when most of the new spring shows I am looking forward to have opened but I'm discovering this is also prime K-12 Spring Break & Easter break (neither which I am nor celebrate). Given I mostly rely on rush tickets (but will usually buy one "must see show" in advance) I want to pick a weekend that the city is least "busy" so odds for rush (and importantly lodging) are in my favor. Are there any other major events/weekends I should consider avoiding or planning around?

Spring Shows on my list in order of interest are:

The Jungle (Top pick, off-Broadway, will probably buy in advance) begins 4/2 

The Lehman Trilogy (Top pick) begins 3/7 

How I Learned to Drive begins 3/27 

Girl From the North Country begins 2/7

The Inheritance (maybe if I don't catch during my fall trip & it's still running?)
