Posted: 10/16/05 at 4:47pmHas a cast been anounced for this March 2006 production? There is a rumor that Paul Sorvino will be playing Tony, but I can't find any reliable source to confirm this. Any insights?

Lord, he goes sharp on every note.
Of all the roles in that show, Tony needs to be a full-on opera singer. Without the vocal power and depth I can't see it working. But I'm looking forward to seeing this amazing musical again.

Karen would be an awesome Cleo, especially if they tailored a dance for her in Big D. I don't think Cleo needs to be super young for any particular reason. She's a waitress working in a diner, and she's the leading lady's best friend.
I do like it when "Rosabella" is young-ish though. That's something they messed up on in the Broadway revival. It makes her reaction to Tony more understandable if she's young. If she's older herself, it's too much like the pot calling the kettle "black."
