"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert
Dolly, I've only seen what I've seen online, and unless it tours with him I won't be able to. But I've loved Lane for a long time and from my understanding I hear he makes the show enjoyable!
I thought it was all a flash in the pan. It wasn't until Broadway came along that I felt I had really made it.

i've seen him live, and i have the show that is on youtube (a pre-broadway show, in chicago, before the new major songs were added....When you're an Addams, Where did we go wrong, Around the corner etc)
he isn;t the only thing that makes the show enjoyable! i'm actually quite sick of people saying the show is terrible and the like. i respect everyones opinions of course, but the general idea of the Addams family being a musical is a great move.
their are MANY stories they could have used, they choose the "meet the parents" one. and i love it. Bebe makes a great morticia, look, voice, movement, everything. Nathan is outstanding, the jokes he pulls, not them all, but some look like adlib, which i lvoe to see lol the music is also extremely enjoyable, i came out humming "let's not talk about anything else but love" and desperatly tried to remember the lyrics to the show haha, which is why i wanted the cast album a.s.a.p. lol
but the show to me is perfect, love every miinute, wouldn't change a thing, (except more songs.... tehe) and Nathan is a true force on the stage, ur eyes are automatically dragged to him because he is Nathan haha and Morticia, because it's very iconic now, the long slender skin tight dress.
To Dolly, just because I haven't seen him in this particular show, doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about, I believe that when I started this thread it was me just commenting on how AMAZING I think he is!
