but unfortunately the Christmas show really sucked !
I have been a massive fan over the years but I will admit they have had many not so good episodes over the years, this was perhaps the worst. It was 40 minutes of plot-less unfunny dreariness... I was sat in a room of half drunk gay Ab Fab fans on christmas Day waiting to laugh and sadly we didn't. One scene at the end made us all chuckle thats it.
Nathan plays a character called Kuntz who in the salesman at an over priced furniture / art shop. Typical scene - Edina couldn't decide what sofa to buy, Nathan said "listen to the furniture" and he jumped behind a sofa moving the cushions like a mouth saying "Buy Me". Yes this was about as good as it got. What a shame.

I saw it too but gave up by 11pm, my sister after about 10 minutes! Everyone I spoke to agreed it was dreadful.. such a shame.
Did you see the Vicar of Dibley special? That was brilliant.
Wasn't Miranda Richardson reprising a role in it? How was she?

Vicar of Dibley special was fantastic... Loved Alice's line about having a lesbian relationship with the Queen so she could look at a stamp and say "I've had her". So funny.
Yes Miranda Richardson played her character again... in a totally forgettable scene about redorating edina's kitchen that dragged on. Holly Hunter played the woman regressing Edina into past lives and I quite liked her character, like a completely insane psychic type, she played it completely over the top of course.

There was nothing funnier than the first season (and some of the second season) than AB FAB - but I don't think I've seen a show get THAT bad SO fast.
