I haven't been able to go to theatre recently, and I won't be able to really start catching up until mid-may. However, I have a day off soon and I want to see a show that's closing. The ones one my list right now are the 3 mentioned in the subject: Nathan The Wise, Head of Passes and Stupid F*cking Bird. Which would you recommend, keeping in mind that I almost certainly won't be able to see the other 2 before they all close? I hear Head of Passes is a bit of a mixed bag, but that Rashad's performance is must-see (I've never seen her on stage before). I saw F. Murray Abraham in It's Only a Play, but I'd really love to see him sink his teeth into something, and I hear Nathan is good. I'm a Chekhov fan as well, and am really curious to see SFB.
I'd also be interested to hear if people have had luck with the rush for those 3 shows? I've usually had good luck at CSC since they'll sell their cancellation tickets to students at rush price. Public can be pretty hit-or-miss, I've found, and I've never seen a show by the Pearl Theatre Company.
What do you guys think?
