Any limited runs going into the Nederlander or Belasco before their spring tenants? It's getting kind of late to announce something.
One would think there is something that kicked Amazing Grace out. Or maybe it fell through and that's why Disaster got the theater? Or the Amazing Grace closing date was just when the producers would finally run out of money.

Amazing was not kicked out. They closed due to bad reviews and no business. Why it stayed open after the reviews escaped me. The only ones who can answer that question are the producers.

If something wanted to kick Amazing Grace out, they would have had it kicked out way sooner than the end of October. I'm going to assume neither of these houses will have a holiday show this year (although I had heard the Nederlander was a possibility). We are already in the second week of November and, in the past, holiday shows have usually started in November to take advantage of the Thanksgiving weekend and the entirety of December. I think at this point, The Illusionists' and MSG's "Elf" are our only "holiday engagement" this year.
