Doing a benefit soon and need to put together a small group from within our Mixed GLBT Chorus to one killer song.
It will have 8 performers (4 men and 4 women)
Ideas for songs? The reason I even mention the gay/lesbian thing is there are fun opportunities for role reversals within the song, like the boys sing Sandy's part and the girls sing danny's part in "Summer Nights"
Thinking caps at the ready? OK...GO!
And thanks for your input.

Make Our Garden Grow from Candide by gay composer Bernstein.
Its a killer to sing, but there are 2 solos (M/F) and a chorale that will leave singers and, if it is done well, the audience breathless. It divides and divides so there may be 8 parts.
Look at it.
Are you a member of the G/L Chorus Assn? I can't remember the official name, but such a group exists with literally hundreds of member groups. Find them on the web and ask this very question. Some group has some arrangement for you and wouldn't it be nice if they let you use it without a royalty?
Have fun.
PS - I was a charter member of the NYC Gay Mens Chorus way back when.
