Looking for a fun (not cheesy) place to eat in the Theatre District. This will be for several friends who haven't seen each other in a long time...some in the biz but from out of town...looking for a place with great food and cocktails where we can talk and really have a good time with our group. Don't want to be rushed and want a place we can feel relaxed in. Suggestions? THANKS!

Le Madeleine on 43rd and 9th. Terrific food and drinks
Vynl on 9th Avenue and 51st Street. It's a really fun place to just enjoy yourself, drink, eat, and listen to some oldies.
Vynl is very LOUD.
If you want someplace fun, get on a train and go to the village. Midtown sucks. :)
STARBUCKS.

Depending on your group size, The Playwright Tavern and Restaurant on W 49th is right in the heart of the Theater District and they have different levels, so there might be a room or a corner where you can gather. I have seen many a Broadway performer dine there between shows or after. Nice casual pub feel, and the food was good last time I was there.

Meson Sevilla on Restaurant Row
There is a Mexican restaurant with great margaritas somewhere in the district. I forget the name of it. It's all outdoor seating, so you guys can be as loud as (the hell) you want in a very fun atmosphere.
I second the Playwright. Their Cobb salad is awesome. The chicken fingers are awesome. Full bar...quiet...great prices.
The Mexican Restaurant you speak off is Blockheads on 50th between 8th and 9th I believe right by New World Stages.
I second the Playwright. Their Cobb salad is awesome.
Is anyone else here having a LITTLE DOG LAUGHED moment?
