A choir that I perform with is doing a show pretty soon. The theme they have is "Once Upon A Time." It's supposed to be fantasy related. Things they will be doing include: Wicked, The Wiz, Aladdin, Lion King...

I need to find a male solo. Please let me know if you guys know of anything. It'd be be good if it was baritone or tenor. Thank you!

Well from Wicked there's Dancing Through Life that Fiyero sings. That could work although it wouldnt be the whole song...

I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart. -Scrubs

There might be something in Lerner & Lowe's THE LITTLE PRINCE or Harry Nilsson's THE POINT.

what about Distant Melody from Peter Pan (for that matter - any of Peter's songs!)? The lyrics are:

Once upon a time and long ago
I heard someone singing soft and low
Now when day is done and night is near
I recall the song I used to hear:
"My child, my very own, don't be afraid, you're not alone -
Sleep until the dawn for all is well."
Long ago this song was sung to me
Now it's just a distant melody

Somewhere from the past I used to know
Once upon a time and long ago.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

What about something from Camelot or The Secret Garden or Children of Eden or Seussical or Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? I can think of so many songs that would work from all of those musicals. Or the movie Prince of Egypt?
Or maybe House at Pooh Corner... I love that song!
Or "Meadowlark"! Oooh!

[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

A Whole New World is perfect for a Baritone, although it's a duet, though the "Aladin" has a bigger part than the "Jasmine", and it may be over-done too.
