I heard a show was being booked for the Neil Simon for a 12 or 16 week run. Anyone heard or know what show is going in there?
I heard a rumor about city center's Damn Yankees transferring for a limited run there
What commercial producers are going to put up a LIMITED RUN of an expensive musical?
It doesn't happen. They would lose every penny.

Didn't Chicago transfer from Encore's? That seems to be doing well.
To be fair, Foster, Krakowski started the rumor on live television.

Last I heard, the Simon's next open ended tenant was booked, though it was being pushed back (if it were to still happen at all), and a special event type show was looking at a very brief and PERHAPS a brief run of something else in the interim..

When are these Damn Yankees rumors gonna stop?
It's NOT HAPPENING.
Again, Krakowski said it on "The View". Even if it's not happening, the rumors did come from a reliable source.
How about reviving something not revived in the last 10 years?
It will bomb if revived again.
it was revived 15 years ago.
What is their next open-ended tenant? Dirty Dancing? Minksy's?

DIRTY DANCING has been rumored for The Neil Simon for ages, but it also isn't happening until the 2009-2010 season.
