This looks interesting. Demo recordings from three cancelled Sherman Brothers-scored film projects: '13 Clocks', 'Sir Puss-In-Boots' and 'Roman Holiday'. I'm curious about the Shermans' 'Roman Holiday' tracks in particular, given that there's that stage adaptation of the film having a production next year (the one using Cole Porter songs).

(While I'm at it, for fans of the Shermans' 'The Slipper and the Rose', there's a nice rendition of the waltz on this not-new album: https://itunes.apple.com/album/film-television-music-angela/id445913373/.)

The songs on this are classic Sherman Brothers at the peak of their powers. It was heartbreaking for them to have three projects in a row cancelled (four if you count Tom Sawyer, but that ended up getting made eventually). The Roman Holiday songs are lovely - there were only orchestral tracks for those since it was canned before vocals could be done - it's the London Symphony Orchestra with Irwin Kostal orchestrations and him conducting. We recorded new vocals for those three tracks. The Sammy Davis, Jr. tracks are priceless. We have a few signed copies left (signed by Richard Sherman) and we got the CDs in five weeks early so we have them in stock now - www.kritzerland.com

I adore those men. Thanks for the heads-up, I have never heard of these projects!

Nobody has. That was the fun of this - theses were three heartbreakers for them in a row and it's such a pleasure to finally bring them forth.
