Posted: 10/5/03 at 5:55pmThanks. I have yet to see this show but really don't want to pay $100 for orchestra because its not a *must see* show for me. I do want to see what all the hoopla is about and I will be in NY for a few days anyway and only have tickets to one show so far.

Posted: 10/5/03 at 7:03pmI agree, except if you are taller than 5 foot 7" try to get an aisle seat as there is not much legroom. And do go early and explore the theatre- it is simply beautiful!!!

Posted: 10/5/03 at 10:57pmBelieve the theater opened in 1903 & was designed by Herts & Tallant. The theater was thought to be beyond hope after years as a 42 nd st movie grind house. I saw photos of it before renovation & it was a wreck. I thought it was beyond hope. What a restoration job . By the way, do not take the stairs but ride one of the newly installed elevators. There are television monitors all around so you do not miss any of it. The bathrooms ( at least the mens) are great. I think the theater is better than the show.
