Mamma you've seen every iconic performance... ever! I'm so jealous 
I think it will do wonders over here. My boyfriend isn't a big fan of musical theatre but he loves the music from Dreamgirls. A lot of my friends who don't enjoy musicals and point blank refuse to go to the theatre really enjoyed this film and said they would see it on stage. I seriously think it would do a lot for the west end at the moment. I also reckon we're gonna end up with some x factor reject as Effie... this upsets me quite a lot <---- see?

With some performances you don't know your seeing something iconic until years and years later.
I also saw saw Lauren Bacall's last matinee in 'Applause'.
Both visits to New York at theses hows were not timed to see theses hows by the way.
