New Curtains/Drowsy Chaperone ad campaigns#1

Around town today, took a photo of the new Curtains ad. VERY effective - looks like a perfectly demented Brady Bunch. Kudos to whoever came up with it.
Ditto for the Drowsy ads (I took a photo of the new flyer, forgive me for it's blurryness).

Not caring much for the new CURTAINS ad (a little cluttered to me)
But I am LOVING that DROWSY ad. Do you any pictures of any other ads for the show? I love that ad, though- it looks really classic, and I love the record. Hopefully that (and hopefully other) new DROWSY ads can help the show attract more people.

Posted: 7/1/07 at 7:22pmI don't like the Varga-esque girl sitting on the record that is more 40's then 1920's.

I like both very much and I think both are an improvements over the old ads. It's good that the new Curtains Ad is showing the other major cast members -- looks brighter too. The other was too dark. As for Drowsey, I thought the original was just bland. I like the nostalgic look of new one. I hope it improves their box office.

Posted: 7/1/07 at 8:35pmI think Drowsy has ran its course. It did way better than people had expected - selling out and making a million a week when it was in its prime. So, I wouldn't be suprised if it closed sometime this fall in time for all these other shows that are looking for theaters.

Posted: 7/1/07 at 10:40pmI love the new Curtains ad. Very smart of the producers of featuring the rest of the cast in addition to DHP.

Who's the girl in the DROWSY ad?
LaManna?
re: New Curtains/Drowsy Chaperone ad campaigns#12
Posted: 7/1/07 at 10:43pmI love the Curtains ad; it reminds me of Guess Who. Not so crazy about the Drowsy ad, as someone before said, it looks more 40's than 20's.

Loving the DROWSY ad with a passion. Fantastic.
I also really like the CURTAINS ad, it is great they're featuring the other cast members as well.

The DROWSY ad reminds me of the LEADER OF THE PACK logo:

I like the Curtains one!
It's Mara Davi on Drowsy's, she has this pic on her site:
re: New Curtains/Drowsy Chaperone ad campaigns#18
Posted: 7/2/07 at 1:29amIt's hard to tell because of the size, but it doesn't look like her to me. I think it's just an artist's rendering.

Some people have been saying they don't think it's her, I don't know, to me it really looks like her but just with photoshop effects on it or something.
Maybe they'll put a bigger version of it up once she joins the cast.

They have another picture of her lying down in that same outfit on top of alot of the taxi cabs as well.
I was trying to figure out who it was yesterday. It is deff not Lamanna, so I figured it was Davi...

I think it's just a drawing. The body isn't right, the eyebrows are arched too high, the mouth doesn't look right, but the face shape is a match. It's possible the artist used a pic of her as a basis for it, but I don't think she posed for it.
I could be wrong. It's not like I'm going to ask her.

I saw the ad on top of a cab the other day and thought it looked a little like the girl playing Janet in the London production.

I think it looks like Mara. I love it!
The Curtains one is okay, but I liked the other one more.
It was awesome. - theaterkid1015
