Has anyone been to the new theaters there on 50st/51st Sts? I heard they are ALL 'underground' and wondering if that is off putting to some people? What's it like to see a show there??Curious!
I saw a ground plan for the complex and it looks absolutely amazing. I'll be going there next time I get to New York.

I went to "The Immigrant" there. It kind of felt like I was in a movie theatre. We walked in on ground level and bought the tickets and then took an escalator down to where the theatres are. Not many people were there and it felt really empty but I'm sure that atmosphere changes according to what shows are playing.

I saw a show there and it was a very interesting and different theater experience. I really liked the fact that there were plenty of bathrooms, in contrast to the normal theaters.
Dodgers is out of money and the complex is HORRIBLY run. I've had two terrible experiences there, which is a shame since they spent $20 million for the 'spacecraft' look, or whatever you want to call it.

They made it look like an airport on the inside, which is weird. Kind of futuristic, too.
I only saw The Immigrant there, I thought the actual stage space was nice, and the seating was very comfortable and spacy.
It's interesting at least. Now if only they could find a show that runs.

I saw Modern Orthodox there. The theater was nice and I like the concept but I thought the complex was poorly designed. Getting around inside was confusing.
I agree -- everything is very nice and clean and futuristic...but it seemed very hard to get around. This probably had something to do with the fact that it seemed like NOBODY was there -- I almost felt like I was walking around in a place where I shouldn't be...I saw a Sunday Evening performance of Symphonie Fantastique and the complex was near empty...The theatre howeever was GREAT -- well equipped and comfortable -- and I love the concept of the complex...I just wish it would find shows that were a hit!
I went there to see Mandy Patinkin. It had a lot of bathrooms and comfortable seating. That is all I need!!!!!!! I tickets were cheaper because it was just a stage, Mandy and the piano player. No decorative sets.
