New Glinda and Elphaba on tour.

Sorry if this is old news...I did some searching on the site, but I was just on Wicked's tour site and our new Glinda is Christina Decicco and Elph is Victoria (as we suspected).

Hmm just in case anyone was interested.

EDIT: New Nessa as well: Deedee Magno Hall, and Elph standby is Coleen Sexton.

Well, it's new to me. Thanks for the info. re: New Glinda and Elphaba on tour.
One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

i think I saw DeeDee Magno as Kim in Miss Saigon years ago, But I think she went by the name DeeDee Lynn Magno at the time..anyone know if that is true?

And yay for some new blood in the Wicked pool. It will be fun to see Victoria Matlock and Christina DeCicco together, building a new and fresh relationship between Glinda and Elphaba.

Dee Dee Magno Hall is Clifton Hall's wife, so maybe that's the reason for the name change? She was brilliant today- I really enjoy her in the role.

I saw the last show today in Toronto and it was fantastic, Shoshana and Megan were on top of their game and everything was incredible. A show like that won't be forgotten anytime soon, if ever.

Coleen Sexton! LOVE her. She blew me away when I saw her as Lucy in Jekyll & Hyde - she's the best part of that closing show DVD!

I wish Colleen Sexton was the full-time Elphaba. Actually, I wish she were on Broadway in an original role but it's great to have her in something.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

I think this is the first time Wicked hasn't actually done a big public post about who's taking over. Probably because everyone knew.

Hopefully this means some fresh blood.

Wonder what happened to Maria Eberline...

kudos to victoria matlock, i (as i've mentioned many times before) was in the second row for her very first performance as elphaba, and she was spectacular then i'm sure time has made her even better

If you guys think Coleen Sexton has a voice (and she most certainly does) wait until you hear the new Chicago standby, Carmen Cusack. She can blow the roof off with that score. Fine actress with the vocal range to play both Elphaba and GLinda.

Maria Eberline chose to leave the tour. She'd been it it from the beginning and wanted a rest.

I personally loved DeeDee as Nessa. She took over about two weeks ago or so. She has a lovely voice. And her and Clifton are the nicest couple ever.

Maria left the tour a month or so ago, but she will be joining the company in LA.

re: New Glinda and Elphaba on tour.

Maria is not joining the company in LA.

Julie Reiber will be the Standby for Elphaba and Courtney Corey (from the Chicago company) will be the Elphaba understudy.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
