Forgive me if this was posted already. I searched and nothing popped up. I found this photo posted on someone's facebook, funnily enough. I wonder if this is the "Overture Delle Donne."
FOAnatic---It was posted before, and there were lots of comments about it.
This is a publicity still, not a scene from the actual movie. It's also a cropped shot of just the principle female leads.
The full photo is much larger, and you can see the camera equipment, more of Guido (Day Lewis) directing them in front. You can also see the wooden floor of the soundstage, plus lots of beautiful ladies bathed in pools of blue light on either side of the set, which looks like a theatrical version of Roman ruins.
It's pretty cool, and much better than the cropped photo here... which looks too stagey to me. When you see the full shot, you have more visual information to know what's going on.
They also talked about adding extra fabric to Fergie's crotch! She had less in the actual shot ... and somewhere along the line, she was Photoshopped into more material down in front.
Here's the wider shot:
... and the original thread.
Thanks, besty.
I used the search feature...but nothing popped up when I typed in "Nine." So, it's working fantastically!
Thanks for the full photo. It looks stunning.
Is Kate Hudson in the photo. It looks like she could be the one in the forefront all the way to the right but I can't tell for sure.
Yes, it's Hudson to the direct right of Nicole Kidman (our right, not their right). Not the woman in the background, but the blonde right there.
You know, I did the same thing FOAnatic. I searched for "Nine" and nothing came up!
So I searched for a couple of key words in post that I made on that older thread, and that's how I found it.
I wonder why searching for "nine" gets you absolutely nothing in the results?
Very curious ... and buggy.
I've given up BWW search. I use Google & tack on Broadwayworld at the end of it, works quite well.
