New POTO casting for Broadway and US Tour

Well it's more of a shuffle really. But here's what I've learned from a friend.

Timothy Martin Gleason is becoming principal Raoul on Broadway on May 27th. Michael Shawn Lewis is becoming principal Raoul on the tour starting in Tempe, AZ on June 8th. Although it was originally reported that he was staying for 7 weeks, his contract is in fact, open-ended, and he could end up staying for quite awhile.

Rebecca Pitcher is leaving the tour on June 26 to become the alternate Christine on Broadway. Current alternate Marie Danvers is becoming principal Christine on tour. Julie Hanson is not renewing her contract.

Phew...did that make any sense? LOL!

No word yet on what Hugh Panaro, Gary Mauer, Sandra Joseph, or Elizabeth Southard are doing with their contracts.

I think May 25 must be his last show? If TMG is starting that Monday...( no Sunday show).

I don't think so. I'm guessing John's last performance may be the week of the 23rd since TMG is starting the 27th. *shrugs* I'm so sorry!

I hope they won't renew Sandra Joseph's contract! She's definitely the worst Christine I've ever seen.

Hopefully Hugh Panaro is staying, he's brilliant as Phantom!

i hope hugh renews! i saw rebecca and she was really good, so that's exciting! although i wish i would have seen julie from everything i'm hearing about her on here

THey BETTER have a GREAT cast when I go in July! This is my FIRST time seeing PHANTOM, and I'd BETTER be impressed! Actually, I 'm just REALLY excited about seeing it, and I want to LOVE it. So I just dont want anyone or anything to screw it up! I'm sure most of yall understand!

FosseBoi, don't get too excited. The show itself is not too AMAZING. Great, but it most-likely will not be the best show you have seen.

I agree. No worries. The show will be great! POTO has gone through many cast changes before and still proves to be an audience favorite! Besides, even though there are changes, the actors have already played their respective roles many times before. Of course that couldbe a good or bad things...depending how you look at it! Ha!

Sorry, I don't know the exact date that Julie leaves yet. I'll try to find out though.

Yup! Elizabeth is the current alternate Christine on the US Tour and also the wife of the current US Tour Phantom, Gary Mauer.

I didn't say not to get excited. I said not to get too excited...there are much better shows out there. It was a great show, just not worth all of the hype...jusy MY opinion.
