I completely agree with you demoiselle. I can't believe what the critics did to this show. I've recommended this to do many people and so many people have loved it too. It's just so hard to keep fighting for it.
As someone DID see the show and actually ENJOYED it, I believe the critics were more or less correct with their criticism. The only comment that some made that I didn't agree with was that Laura and Jeremy had no chemistry b/c their chemistry MADE the show for me. Nevertheless, the show is flawed and to pretend otherwise is ludicrous. Sure, the critics probably came in with low expectations b/c it was Wildhorn but that doesn't give their criticism any less merit or validity. I just hope there is a cast album because even though it was still ridiculously contemporary (and by "contemporary", I mean "90s adult pop" in some cases), I think it's one of Wildhorn's best.
