New Song in The Prom Movie

I see they're going for a Best Original Song nomination at the Oscars. They said that the new song is a ballad, and I wouldn't be surprised if they gave it to Dee Dee. But I'm usually wrong about most things.

Not sure if this film was gonna get a limited release in theaters, but this is the one year where streaming films are eligible. It totally could go for it, even if that wasn’t the original goal!"

 

Streaming films are NOT eligible: you have to prove the film intended to have a theater release and couldn't because of the pandemic. If it gets released when theatres are already open then it needs a theater release.

i think they're right, i saw a thread on reddit discussing that they had to have planned for a theatrical release before the pandemic occurred

even if they add a new song and it's eligible for the oscar i still think if they go on Billie Eilish has it in the bag for No Time to Die
