Posted: 7/28/04 at 11:50pmThat's an interesting idea. I don't know how he would feel about playing someone he knew, but it was done in Rent. The oringinal Gordon *consults Rent book*- Timothy Britten-Parker, knew the actual Gordon. It's a big responsibilty to play someone you know, and even harder to fill the shoes of someone like Raul Esparaza.

I think I'm just kind of partial to him in that role, since that was my first "experience" with him. It was the first time I'd ever heard him sing or anything.

*winces* I know he has flaws... but hundereds of times, Emcee? Ouch...
wow. Another threadjack.

Posted: 7/28/04 at 11:56pmYeah. They're both very talented in different ways. Raul is a pretty rare talent, but he's also a trained actor, which Adam is not. I'm not saying I like one better than the other, but it's hard to compare.

#31re: New Tony Catagory
Posted: 7/29/04 at 12:00amOkay, I'm sorry. Just call it "a lot" of times.

For the Adam/Raul threadjackers:
what are their respective ages? who's older?
#33re: New Tony Catagory
Posted: 7/29/04 at 12:22amI'm pretty sure they're the same age. I know that Adam's 33, and I'm 95% sure Raul is as well. Their birthdays are a day apart, too! How cute!

How awesome would it be if they did a show together?!
I can so see their opening #: The Battle of the Best Emcee (costumes and all)

I'd simply die...
Actually, they did the Actors' Fund CHESS benefit together.

And I love the Fund for doing that but hate them for not releasing a CD so those who couldn't go have no idea how it went.
Raul
Adam
& Josh!
i'll never know

Posted: 7/29/04 at 12:28amOh, he can hold his own! A lot of people said that Adam's Emcee wasn't far behind Raul's actually.

Posted: 7/29/04 at 12:29amThat was my bitterness speaking. I'm biter because I know it's true. I will never be able to judge Emcees, alas.

Posted: 7/29/04 at 5:56pmI'm sure it's too small a role for him, but I really want Peter Lockyer to play Fiyero.

This has nothing to do with Adam Pascal.
Along the lines of timote316.....I do think it is interesting how the Olivier Awards in London include replacements in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories. Thus, two different actors can win two different years for playing the same role in the same show.
