New York City Center Seating Suggestions

Hi all,

I'm looking to get tickets for the Sutton Foster-led production of The Wild Party at New York City Center this July. Tickets are readily available all throughout the theater (at the moment) and I've never seen a show here so do any of you have any suggestions as to where the best place to sit in the theater would be?

If you can afford any price point, I would recommend the grand tier. If you're on a budget, I'd consider the mid-mezz and then the front balcony. (I don't like the rear mezz at all, so I'd go up before going back.)

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

How is the view from the first row of the balcony? Is there a bar in the way like in some theaters?
