As someone who's been laid off by a newspaper... come on, just pony up and pay.

Thank for 'NYclean' it is excellent.

So if a contributor on here copy and pastes a review on to a message on here, then posts it and the individual pays subscribtion to the New Year Times, would that be deemed as 'copyright theft'?

not sure what the Times' TOS says about that ... probably excerpts are allowed under the fair use doctrine, and links to the full review are allowed by the Times.

since you've mentioned it, there are some other websites out there who are ruthless about enforcing their TOS -- linking, attribution, etc; it's worth noting that BWW enforces those rules and acts against posts that violate them.

I get the fact that BWW likes to follow the TOS of other sites and whatnot. But, does anyone find it funny that if you link a bootleg youtube video they take it down. However, if you link an article from a newspaper then they keep it up ?
