For the last 7 performances I have attempted to do the lottery for $20 tickets, since I'm in a rough financial patch currently.
Annnnd I have lost each time. I go by myself since I have no LA friends who are into theater. Anyone wanna meet up and pair up for the lottery on Tuesday? IE if I win two tickets you get one of mine or if you win two tickets I get one of yours?
I'm sick of losing and seeing members of the same family win more than one pair!

If you lose the tickets are only $50

Yeah, I might go the $50 route sometime this week.

lovebwy, how has the lottery been lately? Approximately how many people are trying each night?
I may head down there tomorrow to try my hand at the lottery and will likely be by myself too, so I'd be open to "teaming up" to increase our chances of winning.
I will PM you some details so you recognize me.

I also went yesterday (as of now) and also lost but I was the first one in line for the $50 tickets and sat Row C Seat 109... So THE THIRD ROW! I saw some lottery winners in the first two rows but on the right and left orchestra not center like I was. Got to see newsies 4 times (once for each week it was here) very happy :)

Jose you should have made yourself known!
It was so annoying that there were SO many people there on Tuesday. Way more than on Thursday night of last week.
I think the reason your $50 ticket was so good was that Tuesday was undersold. I'm gonna try again on Thursday (my 8th try!). We will see.

sorry to hear you haven't had much luck with the lottery. I got an email with the code TAX45 good for today only for $45 tix for newsies! Feel free to use it:) JoseLee, I was lucky enough to get tix through the lottery and was indeed front row center seat 111, so not just side orchestra seats were being given.

They have been sending $45.00 promos. I am surprised this isn't selling better.

I finally won the lottery!
Got to see yesterday's matinee. Lots of fun. I was in the front row and caught one of the newspapers they threw out into the audience.
Impressive dancing and vocals. That one Newsie, with the cigar, he is FINE as hell.

Actually Jose I think I have to switch my opinion to yours. At least for a year or so. I didn't realize Ben Cook was so young!

Yeah Sky is a cutie too.
I guess Ben Cook is playing the same part that Vinnie Delpino played in the movie.
I chuckle thinking of NPH's comment during the 2012 Tonys. "Each gift bag tonight contains a Newsie". Yum!
