Yeah, I think Young Frankenstein an Producers have similar sounding scores as well. Are they identical? Of course not. Young Frankenstein has a little edge for infusing some Eastern European flavor in a couple of songs, but I found both scores incredibly generic, bland and unmemorable. I enjoy the Mel Brooks films, but not the musicals. Producers was ok, I guess. There was a lot more originality in the book instead of being such a literal adaptation. Young Frankenstein bored me to pieces. I doubt I'd see Blazing Saddles as it is not one of my favorite Mel Brooks films.
