What song does Act I end with?
*kind of spoiler*
Also, do they cut some of the lyrics out of the OBCR, so it doesnt spoil the show? One example I can think of is when she said that the doctors told her "your child is _____" seems like they would say dead, but don't- any reason for this?

*SPOILER ALERT*
Act I ends with the song "A Light in the Dark" and with Diana agreeing to the electroshock therapy and being wheeled away to begin it. The OBCR doesn't cut out lyrics. The example you give is actually the way the song goes. It is implied that dead should be there, but instead the character of Dan just begins singing. In my opinion, not actually saying the word is fitting and even more powerful because it shows how affected Diana still is about the whole thing. I think it's realistic that a parent would not actually want to say the word "dead" in reference to her son.
Thanks for the response Nova,
I thought of another example, this one is more-so what I mean..
Diana says
"We had Natalie to... And I know she knows..."
No, that's how the line is read in the show, too.
Those two examples are how the songs go. But there are other lines that are cut from songs so they don't give anything away.
:spoilers:
First thing that comes to mind is the doctor's dialogue in "There's a World" talking about Diana's razor wounds and how ECT is indicated. Also, the dialogue in "Light" is taken out, such as the lines about where Diana is.
