Next weekend TKTS Question

I will be in NYC next Friday through Monday with family and am planning to fill some spots with shows I could get tickets for at TKTS in Times Square. I was hoping to get some advice/ recommendations on what the boards here think would be easiest to get at the booths next week.

The only show were really excited about seeing this season is Tootsie, so we got those tickets in advance for next Saturday night. Were not planning on seeing a matinee that day, so the only spots we could fill are Friday night and Sunday matinee. Our current list of preferences are:

1. Aint too proud
2. Beetlejuice
3. Hadestown
4. Gary
Weve seen basically all other musicals currently playing from earlier seasons.

Any insight on the probable availability of these shows at TKTS for those dates? Especially aint too proud or hadestown?

Telecharge now shows good availability for beetlejuice next Friday, and I know next Friday is the day after beetlejuice opens, but based on the word of mouth, I dont think itll be getting raves thatll make it sell out the next day.

Also very open to other suggestions for plays or off broadway.

I don't often check TKTS so I can't speak too much for it, but I highly doubt Hadestown will be on TKTS anytime in the near future. They do have standing room if you and your family doesn't mind standing. I;ve heard their rush is difficult and don't have too many rush tickets even available, but not sure cause I haven't tried.

If you haven't seen Be More Chill yet, that is a really easy rush - can pretty much go at any time and get a same day ticket for $40. Really fun show! I've heard Beetlejuice really isn't a hard rush either (although I haven't tried myself) but given what I see on these boards, that should probably be on TKTS or have some rush at the very least.

Gary has been on TKTS every time I’ve checked, you’re probably safe there. Beetlejuice has been too

I was just now looking at the TKTS line via the Times Square webcams and I don’t think I’ve ever seen it that long with that many people waiting. It must be because of Spring Break? Hope it’s not like that next Friday for you!

But if that’s any indication of what it’ll be like this summer, I may have to go ahead and buy my birthday shows now to avoid spending an hour in line.

Also, I’ve found some playbill discount codes for those shows too. I’ve never used one of those before, would any of you know where to apply the code? Is it at the checkout screen in telecharge?

There's really never any need to spend an hour (or more) in line.  Either go to the Lincoln Center location, or just wait until an hour before curtain and you can usually walk right up to the windows at the Times Square location.

I’d like to know this as well. Do I call telecharge, use the code during seat selection or check-out, or is there a special website? I see a couple of shows I’ve been eyeballing already with discount codes available through late summer.

You can use telecharge discount codes by going to https://www.telechargeoffers.com/

Over on the left there's a space where it says '"Or enter a Promotional Code Here"

there's also a listing of some of the available codes at the top center of the page

If you go to the TKTS at Southstreet Seaport or Lincoln Center you can buy for the next day matinee (so if you go Saturday you can purchase Sunday matinee tickets) .  That will give you a leg up and a better choice of shows.
