Hi everyone, I'm planning on seeing Nice Work If You Can Get It on June 5th, and I was just wondering if anyone knew where the rush ticket seats are located, if there's generally a line to get tickets when the box office opens. Also does anyone know if Judy Kaye is still out of the show? I heard something a while back about an injury and she was unable to perform. Thanks! :)
I've heard it's pretty easy, I imagine getting there at 9:30-9:45 right before the BO opens would be fine, it's been a little busier since closing was announced. Judy is in fact back in the show, she seems to be back to an 8 show a week schedule though her first week or two back, she was still missing a few performances a week.
I got a ticket half an hour before curtain last week, my ticket was for the rear mezz but the usher told everyone to sit where ever they like and i moved to the 2nd row orchestra during intermission.
It should be noted that the house has been very different on different days of the week. The show was actually sold out last Saturday night and a friend couldn't even get a full-price mezz seat. Weekdays have been less so, plan accordingly. Wednesday matinees and Tuesday evenings specifically are probably the "easiest".
I went to a sunday matinee. Of course I hate taking chances and loosing out but I really think this is a pretty easy rush most days
I literally get rush tickets for this show once a week. I've never not been able to get them. Even a half hour before the show. Seats are usually in the front mezz, or first couple rows of the rear mezz.
Thanks for the responses!
Does anyone know if the cast usually comes out the stage door after a matinee performance?
Well I saw the show last year at a matinee and Matthew Broderick (sorry if that's misspelled) came out but Kelli O'Hara didn't even though she isn't in the show anymore. I bet Jessie Mueller will though.
