My first exposure to the score of Nine was Karen Akers Be On Your Own, which was on one of those Broadway compilation albums. I fell in love with that recording, and had to own the OBC shortly after that. From there, I moved on to the London conert which drew me into the whole score. I found Jonathan Pryce mesmerising.

Haven't invested in the Broadway revival or Australian recording as I'm happy with my lot - but I'm sure one day I'll give in to temptation.

Have just ordered the OBC 2CD set looking forward to hearing it again.

NCGuy, glad you liked the Australian recording, it is a pity that it never got video taped.

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

The Revival recording is quite wonderful!
