Nirbhaya

Just wondering whether anyone has caught this in New York yet? Its just got a glowing review from Ben Brantley, and its running at the Lynn Redgrave theatre. I saw it at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 and it is absolutely the most powerful piece of theatre I've ever seen; I think maybe Yael Farber's best piece of work as a director.

Its certainly not for the faint hearted and is completely harrowing. It feels so real and honest but at the same time it is intensely theatrical. Interested to hear what people think!

It certainly has powerful moments, but at almost two hours without intermission (and story after story where you find your mind wandering) it has room for judicious cuts. Also, unless you spring for the expensive seats up front, you'll find that most seats further in the back and on the sides have obstructed views (due to poles throughout the theater) which will take away from your viewing experience. They also might consider turning on their air conditioning.
