no, but you know what would be amazing if disney would put it on broadway.. and it's going back a little bit, and this could be easily shot down for so many reasons; however, THE NEWSIES!
it's fantastic, i love it. and mainly all males singing & dancing to fight for their rights would have my vote. hurrayyyy!

There was talk some years ago about staging NEWSIES, but I think they had a problem with securing permissions from the original authors.

No. Newsies would be terrible. I saw an illegal production of it done and it was horrific.

Well perhaps the "horrific-ness" stemed from the fact it was an illegal production?

I can see Poch. been a pain in the ass to cast. You can't really do color blind casting with this show cause it would change the entire story, much like Color Purple where it's based in race. But it sure as hell would be beautiful.

Just want to jump in and say that if the Newsies musical did in fact work out in the future, I would be on that like Tom Cruise on a buffet of crazy.

If Newsies were a Broadway musical someone would have to literally drag me away from the theater because I'd be so excited.
