It was just announced on Fox 5 News that Broadway shows will remain open through Tuesday. "The parties have made progress..." Says the actors union.
So does that mean the new deadline is Tuesday, or that after Tuesday they are definitely going on strike? Grrrr... I have tickets for a show on Wednesday, which means I remain on edge until Tuesday night, I guess.
Fox 5 may have reported it, but its nowhere else anywhere? Please post any information below.
I have tix to Boy From Oz and Avenue Q on the 3rd of July and tix to Wicked on the 4th. I'm gonna be mighty sad if I don't get to see the shows. I've looked forward to this for so long.

I've got a show Tuesday and Thursday. That'll be fun if they're canceled...

I really hope they get everything worked out without having to strike... If they do strike and people have tickets for shows, what happens? I feel bad for those who are going to NYC just to see a show. A lot of people can't come back to see it some other time if they give tickets for another date. Theater strikes are very very bad... -Penny

The three major TV stations announced on the ll p.m. news that although the parties have not come to any agreement, actors have been ordered to work at least through this week. They are seeking a mediator to get the parties back to the table.
*sigh of relief*
Now I can see Caroline, or Change!!!
Here's hoping for a fair agreement soon!

The report I saw on channel 7 said only that the actors should report to work on Tuesday. It wasn't clear to me whether they would be working through the week. I hope so, as I am seeing BFO on Wednesday. My final chance to see the show as I will be leaving the area the next day and not coming back again until after the show closes.
