wonderfulwizard - I'm not a Wicked fan, but the line "...punished, but good!" DOES make sense grammatically. It means punished thoroughly.
Patronus... i agree with the Benny Collins dialouge... i thought for the longest time that they hooked up after Angels funeral. It was just a poorly written part.
must say worst line that ruins a bad show already "For the first time i feel Wicked."
I think just about every line ruins Wicked.

'Nessa I've got something to confessa' or what ever it if from Wicked. I also cringe whenever I hear Idina sing the last word of 'Wizard and I', it sounds like she is saying 'The Wizard and Lie'.
I do actually like 'Wicked', it is just there are a few awful / cheesy moments.
OH, and "I'll call, I hate the fall" from Rent- urgh! Why must it rhyme?

I actually like that line from Wicked.
Nessa, I've got something to confess, a reason why...
I think it's cute and sort of clever.
I think the delivery is what makes it cheesey. It's usually sung, "Nessa, I've got something to confessa..." when being sung, "Nessa, I've got something to confess. A reason..." separating the confess and "a," it might make it less obvious and cheesey.
Yeah, maybe I am just an easy mark, but I like it sung like that.
Personally, I'd probably singing, "Nessa, I've got something to confessaaaaaah reason why..." holding out the "aaaaah" and putting a strong emphasis on the beginning of reason.
It'd actually be kind of cute if Nessa laughed and Boq wink winked it.
I can see how it would both people though.
"I'll call, I hate the fall"
I like this line, but I liked it more when I misheard it and thought it was "I'll call, I hate the phone."
The entire Clambake song in Carousel. Ugh!

Oy the Carousel line...yuck. I do love the Wicked line about feeling wicked...as well as the Dirty Dancing "baby in the corner line"!
My most cringe-worthy line hasn't been mentioned yet (and is also from RENT):
After La Vie Boheme...the AZT beepers go off.
Roger: You?
Mimi: Me. You?
Roger: Mimi.
UGH. I have to roll my eyes every time I listen to it or watch it. I will not be sad to watch that little bit of recitative leave the movie version.
You know what annoys me about that line? The fact that the beeper goes off and she says AZT break and there is inevitably someone in the audience who laughs.
Yeah! She has AIDS. Now THAT'S Comedy!
