Hi guys,

I'm wondering if people in the cast of non-eq tours get paid? If they do, how much? If not, what's the point of doing it, especially if you need to make money?

of course they get paid. They don't get the benefits members of AEA get but, they make anywhere from $150-$500 a week.. sometimes a tad bit more. The lower end of the stick comes with the non eq childrens theatre tours.. stuff like Networks probably pays what? $400ish range?

Actually the last casting call for the RENT Tour, produced by NETworks, listed salaries in the 800 mark. That's not bad I would say. And it's not including the per dium.

Per diem. It's Latin. As in, Carpe diem (Seize the day).

More specifically, it is a non taxable amount on top of your salary to cover your living expenses while on the road.
