Posted: 1/12/06 at 3:47pmOdd question for the board. Can anyone name me a non-western musical other than Pacific Overtures, The King and I, Bombay Dreams, or Flower Drum Song? Basically any other musical either set in a non-western location or who's music is of that style. Thanks!

asim: I should have rephrased. I wasn't sure if CJWesselman was specifially looking for Asain-set or Asian-themed musicals, and AIDA is African/Egyptian, so I used his phrase "non-Western," since I wasn't sure exactly what was meant.

The words "Wester Muscial" definetly put images of "Brokeback Mountain-the Musical" into my mind. lol.
