Last week my school went on a field trip to the Westchester Broadway Theatre for a production of Oliver!.
We were given the playbill and I saw Nora Mae Lyng's name there (whom many of you will remember from shows like Into the Woods, Amour, etc..) and I SPAZZED LIKE CRAZY
I was so excited (she was so so so so so so so good as the Widow!) that I bought roses and threw them on stage during her bow. I'm a loser like that, but she blew me a kiss so ALLL GOOD

REally? cool!
I loved it because the table where I was sitting at was literally right in fron of the stage. I could reach out and touch the stage with my hand..the actors were RIGHT in front me
SOO cool

Sally, your roses were a beautiful gesture, I'll bet Nora was thrilled.
Unfortunately, I'll bet all the other actors beat her to a pulp in the dressing room afterwards...

Fantastic!
We saw her as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at CenterStage in Baltimore last year and she was absolutely incredible! A brilliant singer and actor, love her!

Posted: 5/6/05 at 2:19amI've actually been meaning to ask if anyone knew what she was doing these days. Hers isn't a name you hear too often, but she is fantastic! Her AMOUR performance still brings a smile to my face, and may have been the best thing about the show. Would've loved to see her Lovett. How long does this OLIVER run?
